Matthew Lord graduated with a BFA illustration from the University of Kansas and is an illustrator and fine artist. Matthew’s work tilts toward the absurd, with a healthy dose of pop culture critique. He strives to tell a well-constructed story with his artwork, using the panel as a delivery device. Matthew’s influences are drawn from a youth saturated with comic books and toy commercials. In recent years, Matt has adopted a mantra of community building through the arts by serving as Board Chairman for the Lawrence Percolator and hosting a monthly life drawing gathering through the arts collective Thieves Guild. Matthew can be identified by his inky fingers.

From the first moment she could hold one, Molly Murphy had a brush in her hand, and has not put it down since. Molly currently maintains studio practices in Lawrence, Kansas and in Kansas City’s Crossroads District. Her paintings embrace the inextricable links between art and science, investigating memory in its many forms. Her work has been shown across the United States and in Europe, and is in private and corporate collections around the world.

Alongside a rigorous studio practice, Molly has been a leader in the Lawrence community, dedicating countless hours to art collectives, public projects, curation, and arts-based volunteer work. She has been a featured artist at Free State Festival, featured artist for the United Nations Association Women’s Conference, Visual Artist in Residence for Escape to Create in Seaside, Florida and served on the Board of Directors of the Lawrence Arts Center.

Singer, songwriter, musician and actress Kirsten Paludan is currently the lead vocalist of four bands. She has released two full length solo albums and one EP, writing, playing and producing. Critically recognized for her ‘genre defying’ sound, Paludan has been performing for over 20 years, sharing the stage with Sheryl Crow, Alejandro Escovedo and scores of other talented musicians. Paludan has contributed her voice to numerous recordings, jingles, radio and television ads. She has worked with directors Ang Lee, Kevin Wilmott and Spike Lee, and been featured on stage in shows such as 'Songs for a New World', 'The Nervous Set' and 'It’s All Relative', a cabaret act co-produced with her sister. Paludan is the creator, co-producer, and director of ‘Starhaven Rounders Cowboy Cabaret’, which debuted in August at the Lawrence Arts Center. Paludan is a vocal coach and teaches private guitar and piano lessons for beginners.
