Artist INC Advance » What is it?

Artist Inc 2015 Sabrina Staires03312015_5618 (1024x683).2

Take the next step . . .

Continuing the focus on the core artist development processes of mentoring, peer networks and artist tailored knowledge used in Artist INC Live, Artist INC Advance takes everything a giant step further pushing artists to create all the pieces they'll need to bring a specific "project" to completion, from planning through financing. Artists will leave the workshop experience with a completed proposal including budget, communications plan and formal five-minute presentation. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to prepare presentation proposals for their peers, local grantmakers and the community, as they compete for three Artist INC Advance project grants.

Come prepared to work and leave with everything you need to move forward . . .

Artist INC Advance Fellows will leave the workshop with all the tools needed to effectively launch a project including:

  • A detailed project plan including implementation timeline
  • A marketing plan including integrated use of Internet resources, social media, press releases, networking and implementation timeline
  • A detailed project budget including the identification of potential funding sources
  • The Artist INC Project Management book including forms and resources for all aspects of the project management process
  • A rehearsed five-minute public presentation with individual critique
  • Artist and project highlighted on the www.ArtistINCkc.com website and a print piece distributed to community members attending the finale event
  • Access to a peer network of other participants and artist facilitators
  • The opportunity to compete for three Artist INC Advance project grants ($1000 each)
