Oklahoma City

Artist INC Live Oklahoma City is presented as a collaboration between the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC), Norman Arts Council, Oklahoma Contemporary, Oklahoma Film & Music Office, and the City of Oklahoma City Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs. OVAC has supported Oklahoma’s visual arts and artists since 1988, offering professional development, curated exhibitions, grants, and awards. With a history of supporting visual artists, OVAC is pleased to partner with these organizations to serve artists of multiple disciplines through the Artist INC program.

Eligibility

Artist INC Live Oklahoma City is open to artists of all disciplines who are residents of Oklahoma, including performing, literary and visual artists.  Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, and may not be a degree-seeking student.  Due to the weekly in-person attendance required, Artist INC recommends that participants live within a 90-mile radius of Oklahoma City.  For those outside this radius, please look into the Artist INC Online program (OVAC members receive a discount on registration).

Applications are reviewed by representatives of the partnering organizations as well as artists and arts professionals in the field.  The selected participants will reflect a balanced cross-section of artists from multiple disciplines, backgrounds and ethinicities.

What Works Workshops

Want to learn more about what works for fine artists to create sustainable careers?  Come to one of the What Works workshops presented in Austin.  Artist INC will teach you the ten things that make the difference in the business end of a fine arts practice and answer your questions on topics from marketing to taxes to copyright.  This is also a great chance to meet the Artist INC Live OKC Peer Facilitators and ask any questions you have about the Artist INC Live seminar.  The What Works workshops are free, but seating is limited and registration is required.  Click the links below to register.
