Saturday, Apr. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m., the Southeast Missouri Arts Council invites you to attend a lecture and workshop featuring Diane Scott, from the Kansas City organization Artist, INC, who is known for designing and managing innovative professional development programs for fine artists.

Like many pursuits, art can be a hard thing to create and sustain. Many artists have "day jobs" for practical reasons. But when an artist combines and relates their job skills to their artistic practices the results in both realms can be rewarding personally and inspiring for others.
